Meet Nicole

Hey there! I’m Nicole — the face (and camera) behind Nicole Major Photography.

Photography has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I started out as the “official” vacation photographer for my family, and somewhere between snapping those first candid moments and diving headfirst into the equine world, a passion was born. Horses have been a huge part of my life since I was 13, and that deep connection continues to shape how I approach photography — especially when capturing the unique bond between horse and rider.

I hold degrees in entrepreneurship (with a focus on photography) and graphic design, which has allowed me to build a business that blends creativity, strategy, and heart. I specialize in senior portraits, equine and pet photography, families, and weddings — all with a documentary-inspired, natural style that brings out genuine emotion.

When I’m not behind the lens, you’ll find me outside — whether it's by the water, hiking a trail, or unwinding with a yoga or barre class. I'm a firm believer that fresh air and sunshine make everything better. I share life with my two amazing dogs: Dolly Pawton, my sweet and sassy Golden Retriever, and Sadie, my high-energy, big-hearted Doberman Pinscher. I’m also starting an exciting new chapter with my 2024 filly, Flashin Da Goods (Stormi), and can’t wait to step into the show pen with her in the near future.

One of my biggest goals? To turn Nicole Major Photography into a snowbird business — traveling south for the winters so I can chase the sun, stay close to the water I love, and continue capturing beautiful stories year-round.

Photography isn’t just what I do — it’s how I connect, celebrate, and preserve the moments that matter. Whether you’re a high school senior, a horse lover, a couple in love, or a proud pet parent, I’m here to create images that feel true to you — full of warmth, personality, and heart.

Let’s make some magic.
